The Sunflower Cubby The Sunflower Cubby is a large flower shaped cubby-house. The petals form ‘tunnels’ that join at the centre, in the ‘flower room.’ Inside you can hunt for sunflower seeds that have dropped from the ‘flower’. Learn to make a little paper package to collect your seeds. The package will tell you how to grow your sunflowers and lots more about these wonderful plants. When you finish hunting for seeds you can take the seeds home to plant! An activity for 3 – 6 year olds. Solar printing Use the sun to print your own greeting card or make a beautiful picture to hang on your wall. We will be using magical paper that prints photographic images without a camera but uses the power of the sun instead! An activity for all ages. The Living Soil Discover the world of worms and other creatures that live underground in ‘The Living Soil’. You need to crawl through ‘worm tunnels’ to get inside (or there is a gateway for big kids). You’ll discover lots of interesting things from the biologists who are working in the soil – they might even show you how to find worm cocoons that have up to 30 baby worms inside! Kids of all ages can come inside and explore.
