Savings and Loans Green City Festival Pledge

The Savings and Loans Green City Festival aims to have a lasting effect, with an undertaking to get the people of Adelaide to pledge or adopt changes in their behaviour to lead a more sustainable life.

On the day visitors will be able to find out about the 5 keys areas impacting sustainable living and how they can modify what they do to make a change. These areas will be:

  • Water
  • Waste
  • Energy
  • Transport
  • Food

Download the pledge form here.

How to Participate:

Five kiosk will be set up at the festival to provide information, education and encourage people to make a change. Visitors to the festival will be able to consult with experts about how to save energy in all aspects of their lives. Take a form and indicate at any of the pledge areas the commitment you would like to make.

However it’s easy to get motivated on the day…the test will be how to continue to adopt these changes at home.

greencityfestival.com.au will become a central point for people to get information. People can also register their email address so they can receive regular updates and tips which will keep them motivated.

So, the call is out to all households and businesses in Adelaide to reduce their drain on our environment.

How it will work…

The ATA , ANZSES and key stake holder groups will have information tents set up at key positions and each tent will have specific information on Water, Waste, Energy, Transport and Food.

People will sign up at a pledge point and will be asked to consider which key theme ( or all of them )  they will address and make a change. The visitors will receive “ How to information” and take home flyers and brochures as well as make valuable contacts with organisations who provide products and services in the areas of sustainable living.

At the conclusion of the event we will have a Pledge Report that will indicate how many people decide to make a pledge, and the area of interest and willingness to make a change.

We will post this information on the website.
